At Tech Inspections Ltd, we provide a comprehensive array of welding-related services, across the UK, to help get the most out of your workforce, and workshop and to overall maximise your company potential.

There are several ways in which we can do this, one of which is for us to send a Responsible Welding Coordinator who will be able to identify the areas for improvement, identify both strengths and weaknesses, to then make the most effective use of your resources.

They will do this by talking with the relevant people in the areas which require auditing and record and analyse how things operate and how those systems relate to the environment.

Responsible Welding Coordinator

ISO 14731:2006 identifies the quality-related responsibilities and tasks included in the coordination of welding-related activities. The manufacturer is solely responsible for appointing at least one Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC).

Tech Inspections Ltd can act as your RWC and we will ensure we fully understand your welding activities, ensure that the FPC manual is effectively administered, and monitored and any alterations are made to the relevant procedures to reflect changes in welding activities. We will acquaint you with any changes in the requirements to comply with CE marking related to structural steelwork and assist with audits.

In addition, you have peace of mind knowing that we offer support to our customers at all times.

Our RWC also assesses risk and control, examines records, files and your Quality manual should you have one, and any other documents that support your business objective. This then provides the factual information for continuous improvement, therefore reduction of loss, and will not only monitor compliance, and improve management understanding of systems, but will enhance the workplace environment, and the wellbeing of the employees. Following the visit, our RWC will address the specific areas in a findings report and will go through with you the proposed agreed actions that you need to address.

Factory Production Control

An FPC (Factory Production Control) Manual is also an excellent way to give quality assurance understand how to reduce waste, therefore reducing your costs, and make the most effective use of your company resources.

An FPC manual is wholly beneficial as a framework to set standards and traceability in methods, materials, consumables, training and equipment.

Our RWC will prepare a manual specific to your company, using your own branding, and it will contain all of the procedures that you need for all elements of your business, standards, and all registers to follow conformity so that the whole process can be followed from start to finish. This means you can prove where products were manufactured, and can not only prove that traceability to your customers, but it is a crucial step to obtaining BS EN 1090 *CE Marking certification. From a workforce perspective, the appropriate people will be appointed to specific areas in the workplace, you can also monitor training needs, and therefore ensure that all staff members are trained and capable to do their given job role.

Weld Quality Management System

In addition, we can develop a Weld Quality Management System (WQMS), the purpose of which is to manage the quality of your welding and the product. This enables you to ensure that the quality of your product remains to the highest standard and also identifies areas that require attention.

Examples of what you can find within a WQMS are technical review procedures, which allows you to have a technical review of new products before starting production, and identify areas that may be problematic during production; procedures for review and management of welding procedures, and also identification for capacity & capability of the workshop. You can then identify what workload your workshop can handle effectively, ensure that your equipment remains in good conditions and will therefore reduce the chance of downtime when equipment isn’t working, and also reduce repair bills amongst other things.
