This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the European Standards used for the qualification of welding procedures and welders, with particular emphasis on the MMA, TIG, MIG/MAG and SAW welding processes.
Designed for welding professionals, inspectors, coordinators and quality personnel, the course explores the application of BS EN ISO 9606-1:2017 and BS EN ISO 15614-1:2017+A1:2019, together with the relationship between British, European and International Standards used throughout the welding industry.
Through a combination of tutor-led instruction and practical exercises, participants will develop the knowledge and confidence to interpret qualification records, understand the requirements of the standards, and apply them effectively within their own organisations.
The course concludes with an assessment to evaluate participants’ understanding of the standards and the key principles covered. Successful completion demonstrates a sound understanding of welder and welding procedure qualification requirements in accordance with current European Standards
